My various internship and technical extracurriculars experiences have given me hands-on exposure to project management, mechanical design, CAE software, and much more. These opportunities have given me involvement in the automotive, data center, and robotics fields. Below are brief descriptions of each of my roles. Please see the projects and resume sections for more details on my technical work.
Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op (May 2024 - December 2024)
As a co-op for Rivian Automotive, I was an conveyance engineer on the general assembly equipment team. I worked on developing and iterating layout revisions for a ground-up general assembly line supporting the production of the new R2 vehicle. I additionally developed RFQs/SOWs and created conceptual equipment designs. Finally, I worked with the product development team to create a vehicle design that met DFM (design for manufacturability) requirements.
Lead Chassis Engineer (May 2023 - Present)
As the current lead of the chassis engineering team, I am in charge of the design, manufacturing, and project timelines of the chassis. I have oversaw the full design cycle of two seperare vehciles, working on improving torsional stiffness and reducing weight. Additionally, I have lead team-wide improvements on analysis methods via more extensive hand-calculations and FEA (finite element analysis) simulations.Â
Chassis Engineer (September 2023 - May 2023)
As a mechanical engineer on the chassis team, I worked on optimizing a steel tube space frame tube geometry for low weight and high torsional stiffness. I utilized CAD (computer-aided design) and FEA (finite element analysis) softwares to analyze and iterate structures. Additionally, I worked on designing welding jigs that held critical frame tubes and attachment tabs to precise tolerances.
Project Engineer Intern (May 2023 - August 2023 )
As an intern for Vantage Data Centers, I was part of the owner-side project management team, overseeing the construction of a 75 megawatt hyperscale data center. In this role, I coordinated tasks with contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure an on time job. Additionally, drafted project authorizatations and managed technical document approval workflows.
Lead Mechanical Engineer ( July 2020 - July 2022 )
As the lead of the mechanical team, I was responsible for overseeing the entire design and manufacturing cycle of competition robots. I managed all the mechanical subsystems, worked hands-on with design and system integration, taught curriculum on fundamental engineering skills to new members.
Mechanical Engineer (September 2018 - July 2020)
As an engineer of the mechanical team, I worked the design and manufacturing of competition robotics. I protoyped, modeled, and machined various robotic mechanisms. Additionally, I lead a small team of engineers in the development of a game-piece indexing mechanism.
